Prints from the Leo S. Russell Studio of Flemington New Jersey
Leo S. Russell was born of Russian parents on July 9th, 1917. He studied art in New York City and taught art as part of the WPA project in New York during the depression.
He had a varied art career as a painter, print maker, theater set designer, special effects creator for movies and television, art teacher and owner of the Flemington Studio.
He had numerous distinguished individual exhibits in NYC and elsewhere. He produced a series of colorful reasonably priced graphics featuring younger artists for Charles Lombardo in the 1940's.
